INTERNATIONAL BOY CHILD DAY HOSTED BY GOLDEN VOICE FOUNDATION ON 16TH MAY, 2023
THEME: “THE BOY CHILD CRISIS”

“Boys don’t cry and men don’t shed tears” is associated with African culture about what society expects from men in typical chaotic or challenging situation. Consistent with this proverb is the reports about the likelihood that every first year of males are more likely to die than their female counterparts. One of the reasons for this disparity is the mental health behaviors of men which have been subjected to debate in well-being research. This among others lead to this initiative and that why we have these sessions to voice the boy child vulnerabilities, mentor them and provide guidance.
